The first event of TAD was a half day program and designed to minimize the “gap” between the venture world and the talent world in this local area. The event was held on January 11, 2003 using the venue of UTD campus. This event provided the opportunity for potential entrepreneurs to meet with experienced start-up executives, venture capitalists, and other industry leaders to learn about the start-up journey. The format of this first event focused on small scale casual conversation. There were ten break-out rooms for the future entrepreneurs to dialog with VCs and experienced start-up executives in a comfortable round-table discussion setting. JANUARY 2003 PRESS
